A Conversation with Middlescence Expert Barbara Waxman
Barbara Waxman is a Coach, Gerontologist, Speaker, and Author of The Middlescence Manifesto: Igniting the passion of midlife – available on amazon.com.
Pronounced like adolescence, Barbara has named a period in life, between the ages of 45 and 65 years old, “middlescence”. She shares her research and experience as a certified coach on why midlife is so difficult and how having a new perspective will change everything. With life spans increasing by 20-30 years it’s important to understand the “problem” while offering a “new” solution for getting past it and living a longer, healthier, and more purposeful life.
It’s time to dismantle the Myth. The reality is that midlife may just be one of the richest, most potential-filled times of your life. What if we lived in a way that anticipates it as a time to pick up the pen and become the author of our future life story of growth, joy, love, and impact?
